The compact, flat rail fastening for locations where conventional clips do not fit, or where they would risk short-circuiting the rails.

FlatFix is a flat, compact rail fastening for NS90, B70 and B90 sleepers and all other sleepers prepared for W-type fastening. The flat clamping plate is fixed with a countersunk Torx bolt, so even the tool has free access when mounting or dismounting the clamp.

FlatFix has been applied on more than 20 km of track and is suitable for special track constructions such as insulated rail joints, expansion joints and shunting systems at marshalling yards.

The problem it solves

Conventional rail clips need space, and can short-circuit the rails.

Today's practice

In the track there are locations with too little space for common rail clips: insulated rail joints, expansion joints and shunting systems at marshalling yards.

At other locations a conventional fastening carries the risk of short-circuiting the rails and causing signalling problems for the train protection.
