Resilient Calenberg ballast mats and track elastomers that protect structures and cut structure-borne vibration and noise on bridges, in tunnels and near sensitive buildings, with the Ciprotec 6018 and 2022 systems supplied most.

Calenberg Ingenieure (a LISEGA Group company) develops track elastomers that reduce noise and vibration from rail traffic: ballast mats, elastic rail pads, under-sleeper and sub-ballast mats, and related products. They protect people and buildings in the living and working environment along the line.

The Ciprotec under-ballast mats are the core of the range. The two Kampa supplies most each carry a Certificate of Compliance to specification SPC00061: Ciprotec 6018 (Type A), which protects the concrete or steel structure and the ballast under the track, and Ciprotec 2022 (Type B), which reduces structure-borne vibration and noise. Both are laid under the ballast on bridge decks and tunnel floors and fully cover the subfloor.

The mats are made of 100% recyclable elastomer with a geotextile cover, from 13 mm thick, and are matched to the axle load, speed and track type. They meet DIN 45673-5 and EN 17282. The wider range is documented below: rail pads, mass-spring and under-sleeper systems, Cisilent sound insulation and OilEx environmental protection.

The two ballast mats Kampa supplies and installs most, each certified to the SPC00061 specification by DEKRA Rail, as Type A and Type B for their stiffness class.

The mats cut structure-borne vibration and noise, reduce dynamic wheel forces, stabilise the track and protect both the ballast and the structure, which lowers maintenance.
