Kampa Sleeper

Hollow steel sleeper that routes track-crossing cables through the bearer. No cable ducts, no tamping damage.

Cable ducts for track-crossing cables always sit between two sleepers, exactly where the tamping machine needs to work. The track around them cannot be tamped properly, and the duct itself is at real risk of being damaged in the process.

The Kampa Sleeper takes the duct out of the track altogether. It is a hollow steel sleeper: the cables run through the bearer itself, the ballast bed stays clear, and the track can be tamped normally.
